2016 Summer Camp Staff

Amanda Gaddis

This is my first summer working as a Camp Counselor at Jameson Camp and I am beyond excited! My position at camp will be the Extreme Camp Counselor working with the low/high ropes courses. I am a native of Indianapolis and have grown up here my whole life. I went to high school at Brebeuf Jesuit and am now currently headed into my junior year at the University of Dayton majoring in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy. I have always been interested in psychology and absolutely love what I study but am not quite sure the exact direction I want to take as of now, other than the fact that I would love to work with youth in the future. I have a lot of experience working with children from many nannying jobs to my annual trip with my church youth group to volunteer as a counselor at a partnering church in Cincinnati. Last summer I worked for Insights Consulting doing respite care for adults and children with disabilities. I have volunteered many hours at Joy’s House Day Care in Broad Ripple working with adults with disabilities as well. I have a restless spirit and love to travel even if it is simply exploring a new park! I am so excited to be a part of Jameson Camp this summer because of the gorgeous camp grounds and the contagious happiness and imaginative nature that campers bring with them!
