HELP
SEND A KID TO CAMP!
Did you know that more than eighty percent
of our families are below or at the poverty level and need
financial assistance to help send their child to camp? We
provide high quality, award-winning programming to children
who otherwise might not have a chance to attend summer camp
due to their family situation or other special needs.
Our campers:
· May have an emotional or behavioral
challenges such as autism that makes attending other camps
difficult or impossible.
· May live in a foster care home
or homeless shelter.
· May be impacted by HIV/AIDS.
· May not have had any contact with
the natural world.
· Have experienced more than their
fair share of challenges and need a place where they can
feel safe and supported…to just be a kid.
You can make a big impact!
Will you sponsor a child to attend camp?
Your gift of $30 will help pay for a portion of a day of
camp fun. Even better, $300 will help pay a portion of a
week at camp. It cost Jameson $550 per child, per camper.
You can help offset those costs!
Your support can mean so much to these
children!
Hallie’s Idea to Pay It Forward
As a 6th grade class project, Mrs. Becker at Creekside
Middle School, asked her students to ‘give back’
by writing ideas for how best to pay it forward. All of
the students developed ideas. The class then voted and
liked Hallie's idea the best. Her idea was to send children
from The Villages, a nonprofit that works to provide children
with more permanent and loving family situations, to Jameson
Camp. Hallie and the class then decided to put their idea
into action by writing a grant to the Pepsi Refresh Project
last month. Unfortunately, Hallie’s Idea did not
win. You can help Pay It Forward
and make her idea happen!
