Jameson Camp enriches the lives of Indiana youth by inspiring them to discover their strengths.
WHAT WE OFFER
Located on the far west side of Indianapolis, Jameson Camp offers:
- A fully accredited residential summer camp for youth ages 7-17
- A year-round youth leadership program for teens focused on service learning and leadership skills
- Outdoor educational programs and field trips for school and youth groups
- Unique facilities available for rental for special events and meetings
- A challenge course and 40' climbing wall for team and trust building activities
In essence, the programs offered serve a common purpose: for youth to Get Outside and Grow Inside. Each year we touch the lives of over 600 youth in a meaningful and lasting way. We rely on community support and facility rentals to help children - who normally would not have the ability to attend camp- to have the opportunity to do so. We believe that every child deserves to go to summer camp, and we are dedicated to helping make that happen.
Goals
To provide a safe and supportive environment in which youth have the opportunity to discover their individual strengths and cultivate a positive self-image.
To offer youth a venue to make positive decisions, exercise personal initiative, and have a voice in determining their own programs and activities.
To offer a setting in which youth gain an appreciation for the outdoors and become good stewards for the environment.
To provide an atmosphere in which youth learn to work with others, respect their differences, and resolve conflict peacefully.
To provide the opportunity for youth to learn the fundamentals of living a healthy lifestyle and making healthy decisions.
To provide programming that fosters the development of interpersonal, recreational, academic, and developmental skills that can be carried out into their everyday lives.
