Our 19th Annual Holiday Party was an absolute blast!

Check out the photos on our Facebook Page.

Over 260 children and families attended. Happy Feet 2 and Arthur Christmas were on the big screen thanks to Indiana Booking and the Landmark 12 Glendale Theatre!

Concessions were enjoyed by all; gifts were provided to children; Food Baskets were donated; and most importantly, Santa flew in for the big event!

We would like to send out special thanks to the following groups, without whom, our event would not have been possible:

Variety - The Children's Charity: sponsorship of the event

Miller Pipeline: 20 Food Baskets for our families

Kroger: gift certificates for 16 food baskets

Central Indiana Woodworkers: handcrafted gifts for our children

Grant Awards

Tony Stewart Foundation

Awards $7,500 for Tatatya Mato

Two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart evokes several images -- owner of Tony Stewart Racing, co-owner of Stewart-Haas Racing, a highly competitive driver, and a tireless advocate of auto racing in its many forms.  And, increasingly, Tony is also well-known as a dedicated philanthropist.  Like his racing style, Tony Stewart pushes the limits to help others through his Foundation.

The Tony Stewart Foundation just announced the winners for its ¡°Tony¡¯s Grant Accelerator¡± competition.  Jameson Camp has been selected as 1 of 40 charities from throughout the United States to be known as an Accelerator Charity and receive a monetary grant.  More than 300 nominations were reviewed by the foundation and 72 organizations were invited to submit the full grant application.  This grant will support Tataya Mato, a residential camp program for youth 7-17 impacted by HIV/AIDS.  It is the only camp of it's kind in the state of Indiana.  For more info go to http://www.jamesoncamp.org/tataya-moto.php

¡°We created this competition to uncover terrific charities that are serving children and animals in innovative ways,¡± remarked Stewart.  ¡°The result is a collection of charities â€ large and small â€ with a common denominator of having a strong volunteer network and a dedicated staff to deliver programs.¡±

Since 2004, the Tony Stewart Foundation has awarded more than $5 million in grants to organizations serving children, animals and drivers. Complete information about the foundation plus photos & stories of the 40 Grant Accelerator Charities are available at www.TonyStewartFoundation.org

Lilly Endowment Offers Jameson

$50,000 Challenge Grant

We Did It!  We made our goal thanks to all of our generous supporters!

Lilly Endowment recently awarded a capacity-building grant to Jameson Camp that includes a $50,000 matching grant.  For every new or additional contribution made to the camp between March 1, 2011 and September 2012, the Endowment will match it dollar for dollar up to $50,000. The two year Endowment grant also provided support for Jameson¡¯s youth leadership and outdoor education programming, an office manager position and for marketing the camp.  The funding provides a great opportunity for Jameson Camp to build its organizational capacity, raise community awareness and continue to provide great programming to our campers and other children.
