Jameson Camp, located on the west side of Indianapolis, will be celebrating
80 years of camping this summer. We offer a residential camping program for children ages 7 to 17 with a focus on character development. Jameson will serve any child who might benefit from a camping program which values diversity by creating a rich environment of endless opportunities for growth and personal development. We are especially equipped to serve children with minor social and/or emotional challenges and children with limited financial resources.
Jameson Camp offers traditional activities of arts and crafts, recreation, fishing, outdoor education, campfire, campouts, and much more with special attention on helping children develop skills so they will be more successful. Our counselors help every child discover his or her unique gifts and abilities. Program fees are based on the family’s income. Payment arrangements can be made upon request.
In addition to our traditional camps, Jameson offers three specialty camps:
For children ages 7 to 8,
JC juniors Camp is a five day / four night program that provides a great way for our first-time campers to have a taste of the camping experience.
For children ages
8 to12, the Wellness Camp is a six day / five night
residential camping program that focuses on positive choices, health
eating, and exercise.
For children affected by HIV/AIDS,
Camp Tataya Mato is a eight day / seven night FREE camping program that not only offers the traditional camping experience but provides a safe environment for children to explore the challenges they face each day with HIV/AIDS in their lives.
