HOW TO REFER A
CHILD TO CAMP
1. Identify children who would be appropriate for Jameson’s programs.

Leadership
Peaceful Conflict Resolution
Health and Wellness - child must have a referral form from a medical professional for the Wellness Camp
2. Send the Camp Brochure to child’s parents/guardians with a brief note emphasizing the value of the Jameson camp experience.
Please explain to parent/guardian that they can register by mail or attend a camp registration – information included in Camp Brochure. If a child attended camp in 2006, they will be mailed a camp brochure.
3. Follow up with families to see if they have any questions.
We have found it most effective for referral agents to follow-up with families because of the previous relationships developed, so we have include a form letter in the referral packet you can give to parents.
4. Complete a referral form for each child and return to Jameson Camp.
Please indicate if your agency is sponsoring the camper.
