I was hired in November of 2014 to serve as Finance Manager. Having spent the majority of my career working in the For-Profit sector of accounting and finance, I was thrilled with the opportunity to come work for an organization like Jameson Camp. I received a B.A. in Finance from Butler University and Masters of Accountancy from Notre Dame. After college I went to work for Ernst & Young where I spent almost 5 years before moving on from the “Big Four” to work for a regional sized accounting firm doing both audit and tax work. I later spent a year as the Corporate Controller for a large tech company before ultimately settling here as the Finance Manager for Jameson Camp. Outside of camp, I enjoy spending time with family, which includes my wonderful husband of 10 years, Bryan, and 6 year old Triplets, Harry, Olivia and Madeline. When I am not busy with the family (which is basically never!) I enjoy spending my time riding horses, running, gardening and reading.
I have been the site manager at Jameson Camp since 1995; I came to help out the site manager for a couple of weeks after camp ended that year only to find myself stepping into the role a couple of weeks later. My responsibilities include planning, performing and/or overseeing the maintenance and care of the camp’s 100 acres and 15 buildings; organizing volunteer service projects and helping out as needed.
Hello. I have been privileged to be Jameson Camp’s executive director since 2007. Since that time it has been a pleasure to see the organization grow and become even more of a community asset with expanded and enhanced summer and year round programming. I have spent almost all of my professional career in nonprofit management. Much of the work was focused on helping underprivileged individuals and families. Working at Jameson allows me to combine my lifelong love of nature and dedication to helping others. It is very rewarding to work for an agency that truly enables children to do what our tagline says, “Get Outside. Grow Inside.”
Born and raised in Central Indiana, I knew early on that I wanted to work for a non-profit serving fellow Hoosiers, so I was ecstatic to work for Jameson, where I can help Indiana youth of all ages. I graduated from Ball State University in 2015 with a BA in English and minors in Communications, Peace Studies, and Spanish. I’ve always been passionate about helping others and volunteering, especially through Key Club and Circle K, the high school/collegiate versions of Kiwanis International. I love being able to utilize my background in English to help Jameson Camp’s impact reach new people. And I absolutely love being able to work in such a gorgeous setting like Jameson. Outside of work, I love to travel, read, volunteer, and visit with friends and family.
Since 2004, I have worked for many outdoor, environmental, and adventure education programs all over the country and I am very excited to join Jameson Camp as the Outdoor Education Director. My professional mission is to provide opportunities for people of all ages, especially youth, to experience joy and learning in the outdoors. I believe it is the best way to learn about oneself, each other, and the world and I am thrilled to be able to provide opportunities for the people of central Indiana to “Get Outside. Grow Inside.” I have a Master’s Degree in Outdoor Recreation Administration from George Williams College and a Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology from Northland College. Outside of Jameson, I love traveling, hiking, canoeing, cooking, gardening, touring the country with my husband in our vintage 1972 fiberglass camper, and spending time with my family, especially my seven nieces and nephews.
I have a background in camping and serving as a counselor for troubled youth. Because I love what Jameson does for kids and people so much, I have been involved since 2003 when I first served as a General Counselor.
I was hired in 2011 to serve as the Office Manager at Jameson Camp. As office manager, my role is to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency. In this role, I oversee vendor contracts, rental coordination, technology infrastructure and orientation material among many other responsibilities. When I am not here working, I enjoy spending time with my family. I am very family orientated and my family always comes first. In my spare time and in no particular order, I also enjoy traveling, fishing, volunteering, listening to all sorts of music, collecting Snapple tops and viewing movies at the Carmike Metropolis 18.
Nary a stranger do I meet and with a passion for helping others, my role as Development Director, is especially rewarding. Prior to joining Jameson Camp in October, 2012, my resume’ includes both a career in non-profit and in the corporate world. BRHS alumni and Summa Cum Laude graduate, Indiana Institute of Technology, with a Bachelor of Science Degree, Business Administration and a marketing concentration, I’m most proud of my two children (three counting EeVee, our border collie/shepherd mix dog rescued from a shelter). I’ve dabbled in writing and am the proud recipient of Indiana’s Society of Professional Journalists’ award.
